The series is adapted from the DC comic book of the same name. The story is set in a doomsday world. A catastrophe caused the extinction of all men except the male protagonist, and everything in the new world is dominated by women. Diane Lane and Barry Keoghan play a mother and son. The pilot episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas (Master of None).
