This film is the first of Hai Yan's new version of "Love of Life and Death Trilogy". When the young lawyer Han Ding (played by Yin Xiaotian) was handling a case in a small southern town, he accidentally met the elegant and beautiful Luo Jingjing (played by Yu Na) and fell in love with her. An unexpected incident caused Luo Jingjing, who was born in a wealthy family, to drift to the capital alone after suffering the blow of losing her father and bankruptcy. Han Ding met Luo Jingjing again by chance and soon fell in love. Soon Jingjing's first love Long Xiaoyu (played by Liu Ye) appeared.
