Plot:
After Crazy Rich Asians, Hollywood continues to develop Asian-related films and TV series: Sichuan girl Li Kunjue (Peaky Blinders, Ripper Street), who is acting in the UK, will star in the Netflix movie Tigertail (also a location in the United States), and Ma Zhi (Arrival) has joined. The story comes from Yang Weirong, the co-creator of Master of None, whose parents are from Taiwan. The film tells the story of the two generations of Taiwanese immigrants to the United States and their inner connection: a man named Grover was born and raised in Taiwan. He had a difficult childhood and abandoned his beloved family and ran to the United States with a woman named Zhenzhen. He and Zhenzhen had no feelings for each other, but they still looked for a new life in the United States together. Later, Grover began to examine the things he had done and the choices he had made in his life. He was a stubborn man, and his daughter Angela had grown up and became a stubborn woman. The father and daughter did not realize how similar they were, but in the end, after both regretted and failed, they began to understand each other. Kun Jue plays the young Zhen Zhen, a quiet, polite, and non-intrusive Taiwanese woman who goes to America with Grover, which is difficult for her. It is not until she meets a friend named Peijing that Zhen Zhen begins to truly think about independence and her own value. Grover's daughter Angela, who is estranged from her father and then reconnects. Ma Zhi plays the older Grover.
