Plot:
ComeComeEverybody is the 105th morning drama series scheduled to be broadcast by NHK in the fall of 2021, starring Kamishiraishi Mone, Fukatsu Eri, and Kawaei Rina. The story describes the year when Japanese broadcasting began in the late Taisho period. Grandmother Yasuko was born in a Japanese confectionery shop in Okayama Prefecture. The gentle and straightforward Yasuko was surrounded by the aroma of red beans every day and prayed for the happiness and longevity of her family in the future, but the war took away her husband, and she was also affected by the English radio program that was broadcast. She left her daughter Rui alone in Japan and went to the United States to pursue her dreams. In the 1950s, Rui hated her mother and the English that separated the two because of her mother's influence, but she felt redeemed by falling into the world of jazz. Later, Rui's daughter Hinata was born in an era of peace and economic boom. Hinata, who has always admired period dramas, finally found her position in English broadcasting. The three generations of grandparents and grandchildren listened to the same English radio program at the same time, opening the way to the future.
