Plot:
Reiss plays Perry Mason, the most legendary criminal defense attorney in American fiction. Haunted by his war experiences in France and suffering the effects of the breakdown of his marriage, Mason is in 1932 Los Angeles, a city that thrives while the rest of America recovers from the Great Depression. A child kidnapping gone wrong. Mason will uncover a broken city in the process, and perhaps a path to redemption himself. Maslany plays Sister Alice, the leader of the Radiant Assemblies of God, who preaches three sermons a day to her hungry congregants and to a nationwide radio audience.
