The film tells the story of how in the early 1990s, when the men's table tennis team was crushed by the "European powers", the overseas coach Dai Mingjia volunteered to return to China and led new and old recruits to launch a counterattack against the "powers" in Tianjin to save the men's table tennis team. The loneliness and invincibility of the men's table tennis team played the prelude to that legendary night.
