Plot:
The film is a three-part theme (love and sex) film, co-directed by Michelangelo Antonioni (The Point Break), Steven Soderbergh (Equilibrium) and Wong Kar-wai (The Hand). The Hand tells the story of a young tailor (Chang Zhen) who has been in love with a socialite Miss Hua (Gong Li) for many years in Hong Kong in the 1960s. The images are gorgeous, full of texture and a little sad. The story of The Balance takes place in New York in the 1950s. Ad man Nick Penrose (Robert Downey) is always troubled by erotic dreams and has to seek help from his psychiatrist Pearl (Alan Arkin). Although the tone is absurd and abnormal, it can also be seen as a humorous comedy with self-deprecation. The Point Break is still the theme of the relationship between men and women in modern society that Antonioni has always been concerned about, with a strong philosophical flavor.
