Adapted from the comic book of the same name released by BOOM! Studio in 2014, created by Cullen Bunn, the winner of the Eisner Award, the highest honor in the American comics industry. It tells the story of human society being troubled by a disease called "Shell". People with this disease will be irritable, have hallucinations and suicidal tendencies, and become like empty human bodies with their souls hollowed out. After the disease broke out, there was still no antidote, and at the same time, a cult organization emerged in the United States. The FBI and CDC launched an investigation, hoping to find out all the truth.
