Plot:
In the middle of the Ming Dynasty when eunuchs were in power, Cao Shaoqin (Donnie Yen) of the East Factory forged an imperial edict to kill the loyalist Yang Yuxuan and wanted to kill his descendants. After the chivalrous woman Qiu Moyan (Lin Qingxia) and the chivalrous man He Hu risked their lives to rescue the descendants of the loyalists, they fled to the Longmen Inn in the desert of the border and met with Zhou Huaian (Tony Leung), a subordinate of Yang Yuxuan. The Longmen Inn is actually a black shop. The proprietress Jin Xiangyu (Maggie Cheung) took advantage of the troubled times and used her beauty and coquettishness as bait to kill people and rob goods to accumulate money, but she fell in love with the handsome Zhou Huaian. In order to find out the secret passage hidden in the Longmen Inn, Zhou Huaian took advantage of the trick and agreed to marry Jin Xiangyu. On the wedding night, Zhou Huaian and Jin Xiangyu upstairs were secretly competing with each other, and Qiu Moyan, He Hu and others downstairs also started a fight with the "running dogs" of the East Factory, and the war was about to break out.
