Plot:
On New Year's Day in 1949, Qiao Zhicai was released by the authorities when he was about to implement his escape plan in prison. He was carrying a suitcase and was going to settle accounts with the enemy who framed him that year, but he didn't expect to bump into Huang Liwen who was returning to Shanghai from the liberated area to find her relatives at the train station. When the two left, they took the wrong suitcase. In Huang Liwen's suitcase was an important radio station entrusted by the Communist Lao Ye before his death, which had to be handed over to the underground party organization. For this reason, she moved into Zhenning Village, a middle-class community, and not only reunited with her family unexpectedly, but also got to know Qiao Zhicai, who was kind and upright and full of petty citizen wisdom. Qiao Zhicai and Huang Liwen were constantly involved in dangerous and terrible storms, but they survived again and again with their intelligence and courage. They honed their skills and sharpened their minds in the struggle with the Secret Service, and gradually grew from rookies with no underground work experience to strong and respectable Communists; at the same time, they also helped each other in troubled times, slowly penetrated each other's defenses, and finally realized the true meaning of love and faith.
