Pan Yiming (Francis Ng), who is in Macau, unexpectedly receives a will from his father whom he has not seen for 30 years. His father leaves him a huge inheritance and requires Pan Yiming to attend the funeral in order to inherit it. He obeys the will and returns to the small town in southern China where he was born. Here, there are his former lover Lin Yue (Ren Suxi), his seemingly honest rival Hua Qi (Lee Kangsheng), his daughter Muzi (Ulan Tuoya) whom he has never met, as well as some residual memories and intricate secrets and conspiracies.
