Plot:
Ed (Jesse Plemons) is a butcher who works in a butcher shop. He is in love with his wife Peggy (Kirsten Dunst), who is a hairdresser. Ed's biggest wish is that Peggy can give birth to a lovely child for him and form a happy family of three, but Peggy's attitude towards this is very ambiguous. One day, Peggy was driving on the road and hit a strange man standing stupidly in the middle of the road. Although the man was not dead, Peggy locked him into the trunk and took him home and imprisoned him in the basement. What Peggy didn't expect was that this man was not an ordinary person. His identity was actually the son of the largest local mafia family, Gerhart's family, Ge Lei (Kieran Culkin). The Gerhardt family is facing an unprecedented crisis, with the disappearance of their youngest son Ray, the relentless pressure from Sheriff Lou (Patrick Wilson), and the serious illness of the head of the family, Otto (Michael Hogan). This family is like a string stretched to the extreme, on the verge of collapse.
