The story is set in the "Wan Guo Cheng" nightclub in Hong Kong in the 1980s, which was known as the number one den of gold in Southeast Asia. It presents the golden, restless and passionate neon era of Hong Kong. A group of midnight beauties from different classes - mama-san Salad (played by Monica Chan), assistant boss & undercover policewoman Michelle (played by Yoyo), "Wan Guo Cheng" top star Monica (played by Cai Jie) and others gathered here, witnessing each other's ups and downs and struggles, shining and extinguishing, and also being involved in the turbulent emotional entanglements and underworld struggles.
