The play is adapted from the novel of the same name by the author Twentine. Duan Yucheng (played by Wang Anyu), who grew up in a fishing village on a small island in Fujian, dreams of becoming a high jumper. Under the guidance of his assistant Luo Na (played by Jin Chen), not only does his training results improve by leaps and bounds, but the two also quietly develop feelings for each other as they spend time together. In the end, Duan Yucheng breaks through his limits and also gains true love with Luo Na.
