Plot:
Xiaoyu (Xu Jinglei) has been living with her mother until her mother died unexpectedly in high school. She met her father Laoyu (Ye Daying) for the first time and lived with him. Laoyu is a typical Beijing oiler who often stays out all night. Xiaoyu is very insecure, but she is stubborn and takes care of her own life and does not complain to her father. Xiaoyu grew up, fell in love, married her boyfriend, and brought him home for dinner. At the dinner table, Laoyu looked down on Xiaoyu's husband mercilessly. Xiaoyu broke out and scolded her father for not caring about her for many years. Laoyu asked Xiaoyu to go home directly after the divorce and not to linger. Xiaoyu couldn't bear it anymore and pulled her husband away. A year later, Xiaoyu came back holding Xiaoyu. In order not to make his daughter so hard, Laoyu went to play mahjong to make some money for his daughter, but the world is different from before. It is no longer the era when Laoyu was so powerful. On this day, Laoyu was frightened by people shouting to catch gambling while playing mahjong and became demented. Xiaoyu took her father home and took care of him like she did when he was a child. The love between a daughter and her father is thicker than blood, and even grudges cannot erase it.
