In the near future, Earth as we know it no longer exists. The sun has been burning the Earth with incredible heat for four years. The heat has split the Earth into two - one flooded and one dry. Humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a famine, and the few survivors survive on what little food and water they have left. Rumor has it that in some mountainous areas, the situation is improving, and apparently it's raining. Mana and her sister Leonie want to try their luck in the mountains, and to make the journey happen, they call on Philip. The deal is simple, Mana trades her body for food and safety. On the way, Philip's car breaks down and they run out of gas. So they find an abandoned gas station, hoping to fix the car and find some supplies. After running into some starving guys and learning that Leonie has been kidnapped, Philip finds a man named Tom who can fix their car and take them up the mountain. Philip agrees to start the journey with Tom - although the girls are reluctant. It turns out that the journey is not smooth, and their supplies have been inexplicably reduced. After a few days of getting along, Mana feels that Tom is a more reliable partner than Philip. But the ruthless nature always puts him in a deadlock and distress. Slowly, Mana finds that the person who stole their supplies is not only interested in food and water, but also in her. However, if she wants to see her sister alive, she must overcome her fear and face the scorching sun and the kidnapping and threats of the robbers alone without Philip. A huge challenge is slowly approaching - a huge challenge that Mana could not even dream of...
