Plot:
The beautiful rich girl Finney (Abbie Cornish) is obsessed with fashion, and her greatest pleasure is to design and make clothes for herself. By chance, she saw the unsaleable poetry collection of the poor boy next door, Keats (Ben Whishaw). She was attracted by the words, so she looked for every opportunity to get close to the melancholy man. Under the influence of Keats, Finney began to learn and appreciate poetry, and the two fell in love in the process of getting along. However, this relationship has been opposed from the beginning. In the days when they were apart, the couple conveyed their love to each other through letters. Keats, who returned, gave Finney an engagement ring and a poem entitled "Bright Star". The two continued to stick to this love in the face of various oppositions. Soon, Keats' new work was finally published, but at this time he suffered from severe lung disease... The director of this film is Jane Campion, who won the Palme d'Or with "The Piano Lesson". The film was selected for the main competition unit of the 62nd Cannes International Film Festival and was nominated for the 82nd Academy Award for Best Costume Design.
