The story takes place from the late 1950s to the beginning of this century, telling the tortuous love story between Wen Yiqiu, a female college student at Beijing Broadcasting College, and her classmate Wan Sheng, colleague Song Shaoshan, and Soviet meritorious announcer Katya. Due to the special background of the times, this transnational love has been entangled for decades. The protagonists have experienced many hardships such as separation, lovesickness, waiting, and reunion, but no one has given up their persistence and pursuit of love.
