Plot:
At the end of the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Yang was licentious and immoral, and the righteousness of heaven and earth was shaken, resulting in the rampage of evil spirits in the mortal world, and the people were living in misery, which aroused the wrath of heaven and the resentment of the people. The Heavenly Court then sent many heavenly soldiers and generals to the world to assist Li Yuan, the garrison commander of Taiyuan, in slaying demons and establishing the Tang Dynasty. The Heavenly Court also gave Li Yuan the "Dingguo Divine Pearl" to use to scare away the demons. The Tang rulers were wise, and from Taizu to Taizong, the country prospered for decades, and the people were able to live and work in peace. The story was passed down to Emperor Gaozong (Li Zhi). An ambitious Wu Zetian appeared in the mortal world, and the thousand-year-old giant python "Nanshan Lao Lao" from the sorcery. However, the Tang Dynasty had the "Dingguo Shenzhu" to calm the fear. Lao Lao and Wu Zetian were unable to seize the world for a while. They had to kill the descendants of the "Tang Dynasty" while Lao Lao performed magic to try to seize the dragon pearl. At that time, the wife of the prime minister, Li Dan, Chen, just gave birth to a son and named him Longji. In order to save Longji's life, his mother placed the newborn Longji in a bamboo basket and let him drift with the water. As a result, he was adopted by Gao Daniang, a widow who was a fortune teller. The Jade Emperor saw the chaos in the mortal world and learned that it was the "Dingguo Divine Pearl" that was covered with dust, causing the evil spirits to cause chaos. So he ordered the apprentice fairy "Bi Yao" (played by Man Sung-han) to go down to the mortal world to wipe the "Dragon Pearl". Unexpectedly, Bi Yao was careless for a moment and was taken away by the grandmother. In order to protect the "Dragon Pearl", Bi Yao was sucked into the "Dragon Pearl". However, she still managed to lead the "Dragon Pearl" to escape the clutches of the grandmother and fell into the heavenly prison. Time flies, and in a blink of an eye, twenty years have passed. Long Ji, also known as Gao Er (played by Benny Chan), has grown up under the care of Gao Da Niang and has a close relationship with his brother Gao Lishi (played by Mak Cheung-ching). Li Shi met a rich girl named Murong Xue (played by Tavia Yeung) and fell in love with her, but he was too timid to pursue her. So he asked Long Ji to pursue her on his behalf. However, it was all in vain. On the contrary, Long Ji left a deep impression on Murong Xue, and after a long time, Long Ji actually fell in love with Murong Xue. At this time, Ji's mother, who had been imprisoned in the prison, suddenly went crazy and escaped from the prison. She went to the town where Long Ji lived in search of her son. Because she was penniless and mentally ill, she was bullied and fell ill on the roadside. Seeing this, Long Ji took Ji's mother home for treatment out of indignation and sympathy. Ji's mother was grateful to Long Ji and gave him the "Dragon Ball" that she had been hiding. Since Long Ji got the "Dragon Ball", he has been very happy. 92; Then, he won every bet. This was discovered by the people in the casino. In a moment of desperation, Longji swallowed the "Dragon Ball". Bi Yao inside the "Dragon Ball" was shocked. In the end, Bi Yao escaped and walked out of the "Dragon Ball". Bi Yao saw that the "Dragon Ball" was still in Longji's body and could not be taken out. So she had to stay with Longji, hoping to get the "Dragon Ball" back and to use Longji's power to find the real dragon prince and restore the Tang Dynasty. Bi Yao used magic to send Longji to find his biological parents, but he always made mistakes at the last minute and never knew who his biological parents were in his second year of high school. Bi Yao uses her magical powers to tease Gao Lishi (such as the door that can go anywhere like Doraemon, the sound transmission tool, etc.). Finally, Gao Lishi learns that Bi Yao is a fairy and overhears the secret of Bi Yao's search for the true dragon emperor. Gao Daniang has some magical powers, so Gao Lishi asks her to perform a ritual to direct the light of the magic mirror to herself, so that Bi Yao will believe that she is the true emperor. Gao Lishi becomes the prince as he wishes, and his temperament changes drastically. Not only is he indifferent to Longji and Gao Daniang, but he also wants to force Murong Xue to be his wife. In order to help Murong Xue escape, Longji is exiled to the sea by Gao Lishi. Fortunately, Bi Yao rescues him in time, and a subtle relationship develops between the two. In order to save Longji, Xue reluctantly agrees to Gao Lishi's marriage. The truth finally came out. Longji returned to his identity as the crown prince, but his mother had been killed by the imperial master's fake imperial decree. Longji was heartbroken, but he saved Gao Lishi, who was about to be executed, and the brothers reconciled. Bi Yao was happy for Longji and came to the palace to see him. She was surprised to find that Wu Zetian in the palace was not the real Wu Zetian, but the imperial master pretending to be Wu Zetian, and the imperial master was a powerful monster. The fake Wu Zetian used her feelings to alienate Longji and Bi Yao. Longji did not believe what Bi Yao said, and listened to the imperial master's words. He took Bi Yao into the silver shuttle, thinking that he could send Bi Yao back to heaven. Bi Yao insisted on not handing over the dragon ball, and was beaten to ashes by the imperial master. The silver shuttle broke, leaving the words "I will die with the wind, I hope you will protect the dragon ball", and Longji seemed to understand. Bi Yao was saved by the lotus fairy. Temporarily transformed into a man, Bi Yao did not remember the past, and still insisted that Longji know the truth. When Longji got married, Bi Yao was sad. Surprisingly, she found that she had fallen in love with Longji. On the wedding night of Longji and Murongxue, the male Biyao secretly put the copper coin in Longji's arms, awakening Murongxue who was bewitched by the national teacher. Longji finally knew that Biyao did not lie to him, and his heart was full of guilt. When Longji, Axue and others fought against the monster, Longji was seriously injured. Biyao saved him with magic power, but told Axue not to tell him that she had been here. Longji finally knew that the person who had been helping him was Biyao. He chased her to the mountain. The red sun was in the sky and the mountain was full of golden light. The two parted sadly and Biyao returned to heaven. Everyone found out that the national teacher was a lizard monster who wanted to swallow the dragon ball and become a human. Longji and others held the last hope and went to the Taimiao to steal the sword. They were discovered by the monster. Axue died to save Longji. Biyao saw it in heaven and immediately came down to rescue her. Before Axue died, she asked Biyao to take care of Longji, and Biyao agreed. The monster swallowed the dragon ball, and its magic power increased greatly. Biyao entered the monster's body and used the dragon ball to suppress the monster. Longji reluctantly stabbed it with a sword. After a burst of smoke and dust, Biyao and the monster turned into ashes and countless smoke and dust. The dragon ball slowly fell to the ground, and Longji burst into tears. Li Xian ascended the throne. One day, Biyao appeared in Longji's dream and gave him a jade bracelet. Longji didn't understand the meaning, but he couldn't forget Biyao. In 712 AD, Li Longji ascended the throne and created the situation of Kaiyuan prosperity. More than ten years later, Gao Lishi selected a concubine for Li Longji. Longji found Yang Yuhuan's name on the list and was surprised. Yang Yuhuan went to the palace and really looked like Biyao. The two embraced each other affectionately and never wanted to separate again.
