During the Northern Song Dynasty, the leader of the Beggars' Sect, Qiao Feng, was a hero and was supported by the martial arts community. However, he was suddenly accused of being a Khitan and deserted by his friends and relatives. While searching for his origins and enemies, Qiao Feng met and fell in love with Azhu, a maid of the Murong family. The two experienced the turmoil in Juxianzhuang, Yanmen Pass, and Jinghu Lake, until Azhu was mistakenly killed by Qiao Feng because of Madam Ma's scheme. Qiao Feng finally found out that everything was Murong Fu's conspiracy to restore the Yan Kingdom.
