Plot:
Showtime has split up two of its mainstays. Dexter and Homeland, which have been airing side by side for the past two years, will be rescheduled to new time slots so they can each lead a new series. Homeland will remain in the fall, returning for its third season on September 29. Dexter will return for its eighth (and likely final) season on June 30. This is the first time the show has aired in the summer. Dexter will serve as a lead-in for the new series Ray Donovan. Starring Liev Schreiber, the husband of Australian actress Naomi Watts, who was just nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress, the series revolves around a man who helps wealthy people in Los Angeles solve their problems. The co-host of Homeland is Master of Sex, based on the story of sexologists William Masters and Virginia Johnson. It stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan.
