Plot:
One day, a high school student named Mashiro Takashi (Takeru Sato) who is good at drawing is entangled by his smart classmate Takagi Akito (Ryunosuke Kamiki). The other party claims to love comics very much, but has no talent for drawing. Akito hopes to enter the comics industry with Takashi. Takashi's uncle Kawaguchi Taro (Kanjuro Miyato) was once a well-known cartoonist, but he died young due to overwork and serialization being cancelled, which made the young man deeply aware of the cruelty of this industry. Unable to withstand Akito's instigation, Takashi finally gave in. The two chose to recommend themselves to the legendary weekly "JUMP" under Shueisha, and initially received the recognition of the editor Hattori Tetsu (Takayuki Yamada). At the same time, the genius high school student Nizuma Eiji (Shota Sometani) turned out, prompting the two to compete with him at all costs. Unknowingly, they have stepped into this magnificent but cruel comic world... This film is adapted from the comic of the same name by Ohba Tsugumi (original work) and Obata Takeshi (painting), who created the super popular comic "Death Note".
