The drama will tell the story of the daughter of Qi Zi'ao, a Goryeo woman, who was presented to the Yuan court as a Goryeo tribute girl after her family was killed by the Goryeo king. Through a series of palace power struggles, she went from being a lowly tea-serving palace maid to eventually becoming the empress of the Yuan Dynasty.
