Qi Liangsheng (Deric Wan) is a taxi driver, a down-to-earth person, who lives with his mother (Su Xingxuan). Sheung Tiantang (Zhang Weijian) is a traffic police officer who likes gambling. Tang and Sheng have a bad relationship for some reason, while his cousin Sheung Tianjiao (Lau Yuk Chui) is obsessed with Sheng. Tang and Sheng meet Lai Kam-mei (Leung Pui Ling) respectively. Mei is kind-hearted, but her uncle's greed forces her into the entertainment industry, and she is pursued by movie boss Cheuk Ruo-lai (Wu Qiming).
