Aoshima Shunsaku (Oda Yuji), who was originally an office worker, suddenly felt tired of the unchanging office life and took the national civil service exam to become a policeman. Aoshima, who fantasized about working like the majestic ones in movies and TV dramas, hit a wall on his first day at work: an emergency murder occurred, but his female colleague Kosume (Fukatsu Eri) was busy interrogating the thief; he wanted to drive a police car, but found that he had to get the approval of the section chief and the director before he could give the car keys; he came to the crime scene, but he couldn't intervene because the crime scene was across the street from the jurisdiction of the district. Aoshima Shunsaku was disappointed with such a job, but fortunately, the old policeman Mr. Kazuhisa (Ikiya Nagase) encouraged Aoshima. Aoshima decided to start with small cases, but he didn't want to solve one shocking case after another by mistake with his excellent insight.
