After returning from studying abroad, Tang Jingzi (played by Grace Chan) became a trainee lawyer. Just when she was full of doubts and confusion about her future, Tang Jingzi met a lawyer named Fan Zhiyi (played by Benjamin Wong). Fan Zhiyi's eloquence and sense of justice infected Tang Jingzi, who resolutely decided to worship him as her teacher, and thus met fellow students Zhou Zibo (played by Cheung Jicong) and Huo Zining (played by Natalie Chan). Zining has a half-sister Zheng Shutong (played by Natalie Tong), who is also a lawyer. She is a student of barrister Junye (played by Zheng Zicheng). As time goes by, the two of them fall in love. In order to get rid of this fruitless relationship, Zheng Shutong left Junye's firm and turned to Fan Zhiyi, becoming a fellow student with Huo Zining. However, Huo Zining knew nothing about the blood relationship between her and Zheng Shutong.
