Plot:
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the situation was turbulent and the people were in chaos. Tong Yuwan (played by Shu Chang), a former noble of the Qing Dynasty, became a woman pursuing freedom under the call of new ideas. In a bloody assassination, she met Zhou Tingchen (played by Qiao Zhenyu), who had saved her in her childhood, but many misunderstandings made their encounter full of humiliation and hatred. When the love between the two was born, fate separated them. Yuwan later married Du Yuntang (played by Chen Jianfeng), the son of the president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
