The film tells the story of a brother Feng Fei who found a good job for his sister Feng Lu, who just graduated from college. However, he learned on the phone that his sister wanted to stay in the mountain village to teach. In a rage, he drove to Pawnshop Village to take Feng Lu away, but was frightened by the "stick technique" of the female shop owner Lan Guifang and fainted. In order to take his sister Feng Lu away, Feng Fei promised the village party secretary Huang Yue to complete three things: one was to help the poor villager Xiong Ren get out of poverty; the second was to help Mrs. Xu, who was clinging to the old and dangerous house, move to a new house; and the third was to add a volunteer teacher to the village-run primary school. After many twists and turns, the persevering Feng Fei really helped the alcoholic Xiong Ren quit drinking and successfully find a job again. Mrs. Xu was also willing to move into a new house where she could place her old feelings. In the process, Feng Fei and Lan Guifang gradually developed feelings for each other. Feng Fei no longer prevented his sister from staying in the village, and helped Mr. Lai invest in the wild ginseng project in the mountain village to revitalize the rural economy.
