Plot:
Huang Yinggu (Nancy Sit) is optimistic by nature. She and her daughter Sun Minhua (Wang Lin) and her family are self-sufficient. Ying is very close to her neighbor Wang Zhixiang (Hui Shaoxiong), and his son Wang Jian (Lawrence Ng) even regards Ying as his reborn mother. Corruption is rampant in Hong Kong nowadays. Ying, who works at a stall, owes a debt and occasionally becomes a scapegoat to repay it, and is imprisoned for several days. Once, Ying, not knowing the truth, agreed to be a scapegoat in one breath, but was framed as a murderer and sentenced to death. Ying cut off her braid during the execution and ordered Xiang, who was a prison guard, to give it to Hua as a souvenir. After Ying's death, her soul attached to her braid, but because the braid fell into the evidence room where the statue of Guan Gong was installed, she could not get out and was trapped for more than ten years... In the blink of an eye, Jian has grown up and become a policeman. The upright Jian can only be responsible for guarding the evidence room because he does not want to embezzle. Jian found Ying's braid in the evidence room, and the two finally recognized each other. Yip Ka Shing (Cheung Siu Fai), who brought disaster to Ying, was promoted to inspector and moved the statue of Guan Gong back to its original position, allowing Ying's soul to regain its freedom. Ying missed Wah, and Jian actively helped her find Wah's whereabouts; Jian also solved many strange cases with Ying's help. Perhaps it was fate that Ying found Wah, but found that Wah was wrongly made a scapegoat just like her...
