In a certain elementary school, the boy Imazato Daigo (played by Shibuya Takeru) smashed a rabbit that was in great pain to death with a stone. Although he freed the rabbit, his behavior caused dissatisfaction and criticism from people around him. Daigo and his sister Kiriko (played by Manshima Hikari) became the object of ridicule by others. Kiriko and Daigo are a pair of half-siblings. Their father, Kohei (played by Kagawa Teruyuki), is a fairy tale picture book writer. The death of his two wives made him neglect the teaching of his children and indulge in the world of fairy tales. In her early years, Kiriko lost her ability to speak due to an accident. She communicated with her beloved brother in words. When the siblings were watching the 3D horror film "The Maze of Horror", the rabbit on the screen flew out and fell into Daigo's hands.
