Sergey, 16, son of Boris, is the head of the Batak reindeer herders. Respected as the herder of the largest herd in the tribe, he is called the herder. Sergey first joined the Evenki tribe as they crossed the Siberian Mountains for their summer herding. As the tribe's sole source of income, the reindeer are a source of pride and joy for the Evenki, who will stop at nothing to protect them from their most formidable predator: the wolf.
