With curly shoulder-length hair, a black suit, and no strength at all, this is the outlier in the police station - Furuhata Jinsaburo (played by Masakazu Tamura). He always appears elegant but a little casual, and always speaks slowly, which is in sharp contrast to his assistant Imaizumi (played by Masahiko Nishimura) who shouts and even gets a little off the track. A pistol is completely out of tune with him. Furuhata relies on a meticulous and clear mind. In the eyes of many people (especially criminals), he is just a gentle and slightly cunning detective, and once you despise him for this reason, you will definitely fall into Furuhata's reasoning trap. Whether it is a popular female manga artist (played by Akina Nakamori) who killed her lover because of emotional problems, or a so-called psychic (played by Ken Ishiguro) who is desperate, or a period drama actor (played by Toshimi Kobayashi) who hates greedy managers and kills them, no matter how sophisticated the crime or how smart the criminal is, they will reveal their flaws in front of Furuhata.
