Plot:
Netflix has won the film adaptation rights of Stephanie Perkins' best-selling novel There's Someone Inside Your House, with James Wan's Atomic Monster and Shawn Levy's 21 Laps Production Company participating in the production. Henry Gayden (Shazam, Earth Echo) adapted the script, telling the story of a young girl, Makani Young, who went from Hawaii to Nebraska to live with her grandmother, made a group of new friends, and fell in love with a mysterious outsider, Ollie Larsson, but her previous life in Hawaii was still unforgettable. Soon after, her high school friends began to die inexplicably in a series of horrific murders, and no one knew who was next. Although her fear intensified, her feelings for Ollie became stronger and stronger, and she was forced to face the dark secrets in her heart. The style is similar to the combination of horror movies in the 1980s and John Hughes's coming-of-age film, and Michael Clear & Michael Clear (Annabelle 2, Lights Out) also served as producers.
