Plot:
Doole (Samuel L. Jackson) is a frustrated black trader who struggled to get a mortgage in order to get custody of his child. At the sharing session for alcoholics, he could not hide his joy and spoke excitedly without drinking. Kevin (Ben Affleck) is a white lawyer for an art foundation. He once helped a wealthy man to make charitable donations. But when the old man died, he cleaned up the old members of the foundation one after another at the instruction of his boss. This move was regarded as a betrayal by the old man's heirs, who took him to court with a lawsuit. At this time, a car accident brought Doole and Kevin together. Because they took the wrong documents from each other, the fate of the two changed. Because they missed the date, Doole's child was sentenced to be raised by his wife, and father and son rarely met since then. Kevin was also forced into a desperate situation in court and fell into a crisis of trust. At this time, the two found that the confrontation between each other would only make things worse, but the road to turning enemies into friends was full of thorns...
