Linda (Sandra Bullock) has a seemingly happy family - a beautiful house, two daughters and her husband Jim (Julian McMahon). However, one day, Linda woke up and was immediately told that her husband Jim, the pillar of the family, had died in a traffic accident. Linda was extremely sad and dared not even think about her life after losing Jim. That night, she fell asleep in tears. When she woke up the next day, Linda was shocked to find that Jim was still sleeping in her room! Confused, Linda had to treat all this as a nightmare she had had.
