Plot:
Based on a true crime story, it focuses on Texas killer Candy Montgomery and her victim Betty Gore. The story takes place in Texas in 1980. Candy Montgomery seems to have a happy life - her husband has a decent job and is considerate, she has a son and a daughter, and the family lives in a nice house in a newly developed suburb. So why did she brutally kill her friends in the church with an axe? The show was developed by Nick Antosca, one of the main creators of "The Act", and screenwriter Robin Veith. The pilot episode was written by Veith and directed by Michael Uppendahl ("Impeachment: An American Crime Story").
