The film tells the story of a friendship between young people that was once close but gradually drifted apart in a small town in the south in the millennium. The "good student" Li Fei (played by Zhang Zifeng) and the "bad boy" Zhang Chenhao (played by Zhang Youhao) each experienced family changes under the tide of the times and grew up together with great effort and tenacity. However, a dramatic change before the college entrance examination cast a shadow over their youth and ultimately wrapped up their fate.
