Plot:
This drama series records the true story of the rise, capture and escape of the notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman. The Spanish series co-produced by Netflix and Univision, the largest Spanish-language TV station in the United States, is adapted from the deeds of the famous Mexican drug lord Joaquin Guzman. Because of his short stature, he is known as El Chapo (Shorty). He is the world's most wanted criminal and the most notorious drug lord in Mexico. He has staged a real-life prison break twice in Mexico's highest security prison. The most powerful drug lord in the world, with personal assets of US$1.01 billion in 2008, rose to the top of Forbes' list of the world's top ten villains after Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011. The series will be divided into three parts, showing his experiences in the past 30 years. Starting from 1985, when he joined the Guadalajara drug cartel, to when he established a powerful drug empire.
