Ray (Chris O'Dowd), who works at an amusement park, is obsessed with time travel and is fired for frightening young tourists. His friend Pete (Dean Lennox Kelly) and amateur writer Toby (Marc Wootton) work at the "Dinosaur Burger Shop" as dinosaurs, with no future. The three of them go to a bar to kill time at night, and Ray suddenly meets a beautiful woman named Cathy (Anna Faris). Cathy claims to be from the future and is a technician who specializes in finding time loopholes. She comes here to visit celebrities because Ray will be "the great Ray" in the future and has written "The Time Travel Handbook". Pete and Toby don't believe that Ray has met the "future beauty" and think he is whimsically arranging a movie. Pete goes to the bathroom to relieve himself, but he accidentally enters the time loophole. When he comes out, he finds that the bar is full of dead people, including himself. Panicked Pete drags Ray and Toby into the loophole as well, and a series of time travel adventures that shuttle back and forth begin.
