The second season of "Inspector Morse: The Prequel" was broadcast on ITV in the UK from March to April 2014. The new season consists of four stories: "The Treasure", "Nocturne", "Swing" and "Neverland". Each episode is 90 minutes long. Russell Lewis is the screenwriter, Shaun Evans continues to play the protagonist Detective Morse, and Colin Dexter, the original author of the Inspector Morse series of novels, is still the consultant of the show. The four episodes are directed by Kristoffer Nyholm, Giuseppe Capotondi, Andy Wilson and Geoffrey Sax respectively.
