Plot:
Charlie (Logan Lerman) is a shy and lonely high school freshman. He has a sensitivity and tear glands beyond his age. He always silently observes his family and friends around him. He is a typical "wallflower boy". His adolescence is full of setbacks. He has experienced various things, such as his aunt's death while buying him a birthday gift, his best friend's suicide, being bullied by his peers, and his unrequited love. However, Charlie is not the worst, because there are too many people who are forced into a corner by life like him. He is lucky to have an open-minded teacher and two good friends in the senior grade: the rebellious and cute girl Shan (Emma Watson) and the confident gay boy Patrick (Ezra Miller). They let Charlie understand that sometimes he can't always watch from the sidelines, and he must participate in order to have his own brilliance. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is adapted from the best-selling original novel of the same name, written and directed by author Stephen Kobersky, and produced by the original producers of "Juno". It brings together a group of popular idols born in the 1990s to write an inspirational diary dedicated to LOSERs on many sensitive and controversial topics such as suicide, bullying, sexual orientation, drugs, etc.
