Plot:
The Rocketeer is a Disney film released in 1991. The story is adapted from the graphic novel of the same name by Dave Stevens. The film takes place in Hollywood in the 1930s. A secret weapon of the military accidentally falls into the hands of a competitive performance pilot Cliff Second. He is quite amazed by this propeller. In the end, he carries this strange thing on his back and puts on a mask, becoming the chivalrous "Rocketeer". However, various parties want to seize this secret weapon, especially Neville Sinclair, a well-known Hollywood actor. He is actually a Nazi intelligence agent lurking in Hollywood. In order to seize the rocket, he also holds Cliff's girlfriend Jenny Blake hostage. Rocketeer Cliff then launches his rescue operation. The film is directed by Joe Johnston, a well-known director of "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids", "Wild Games", "Jurassic Park 3" and "Yum!", and he is also the special effects master of the "Star Wars" series. As for the actors, Bill Campbell plays the male lead Cliff, Jennifer Connelly plays the female lead, and Timothy Dalton, who once played 007, plays the villain spy. The film's soundtrack is composed by James Horner, and the original soundtrack has been out of print for many years. However, when Titanic became popular a few years ago, James Horner's works became popular again, and Disney's Hollywood Records re-released this movie soundtrack, but it is now out of print again.
