This film is adapted from Ken Bruen's novel of the same name, and William Monaghan personally adapted the script. Mitchell (Colin Farrell) used to be a street thug. After being released from prison for several years, he decided to start a new life, but he couldn't find a job. His former friends offered him a job to collect money for loan sharks, and he had no choice but to accept it. But soon after, he was hired by a female star Aisling (Keira Knightley) who was unwilling to show up in the public eye. Aisling couldn't stand the troubles of tabloid reporters and paparazzi, so she hired Mitchell to "clear the trouble" for herself. When Aisling gradually got to know Chmiel, the two fell in love. Just as Mitchell was looking forward to the future, his past came to him. Those illegal and criminal things on the street have been following him. Unfortunately, Mitchell found himself inexplicably involved in the conflicts of the gangs, which directly threatened his current life. Can he get through these troubles and live with Aisling?
