Plot:
Adapted from the famous classic novel, the story describes how a little girl overcomes all difficulties and tests to fight for love, recognition and a place for herself. The story takes place in the late 19th century. After a childhood of abuse in an orphanage and a stranger's home, the orphan Anne (Amybeth McNulty) was unexpectedly arranged to live with a brother and sister on Prince Edward Island. As time goes by, Anne, who is only 13 years old, brings changes to the lives of Marilla Cuthbert (Geraldine James) and Matthew Cuthbert (Robert H. Thomas RHThomson) and even the entire town with her unique courage, wisdom and rich imagination. Anne's experience will bring reflections on enduring issues such as self-identity, feminism, bullying and prejudice.
