CBS has announced that it has directly booked a 13-episode action-adventure series "Blood & Treasure". This new series, which is scheduled to be broadcast in the summer of 2019, is written by Matt Federman and Stephen Scaia. The series tells the story of a smart antique expert Danny and a cunning art thief Lexi teaming up to hunt down a ruthless terrorist who steals treasures and resells them to fund his attacks. However, as the two traveled across the country to track their targets, they unexpectedly found themselves in the 2,000-year-old war in the "Cradle of Civilization". Sofia Pernas plays the heroine Lexi Vaziri, who is a passionate, adventurous and charming woman. In the past, she turned into a world-class art thief in order to rebel against her antique dealer father and the dull boarding school; however, after her father died in a terrorist attack, Lexi was determined to use her talents and knowledge of the underground society to hunt down terrorists and avenge her father. Matt Barr plays the male protagonist Danny. He is smart and clever. He is a natural investigator. Danny, who has a moral compass, tracks down various artworks used by terrorists to fund terrorists in the FBI's elite department "Arts and Antiquities". As a rising star in the team, he cannot forgive himself for a failure, but he finally sees a chance for redemption... The problem is that this means he has to work with the criminal Lexi.
