Plot:
Wei Junxuan (played by Luo Zhongqian) indirectly killed Hu Guanyou (played by Liu Songren), the father of his lover Hu Jialin (played by Zhu Rui). He was both remorseful and unwilling, but he was threatened by Han Lang (played by Luo Jialiang) and had to cooperate with him. Junxuan wanted to join forces with undercover Zidan (played by Wang Yang) to overthrow Han Lang, but unexpectedly Han Lang privately revealed that Zidan's friend Wu Yongzhe (played by Liang Hanwen) was killed by Junxuan, provoking Zidan to fight against Junxuan. Zidan impulsively revealed Junxuan's identity as a black policeman to the police. Junxuan was detained and was not prosecuted because the evidence was destroyed by Han Lang, but he had lost his identity as a policeman forever. After the death of Hu Guanyou, Shenglian was leaderless, and everyone fought for power openly and secretly. Jialin inherited all of Hu Guanyou's inheritance. Because she was worried about her half-brother Luo Wei (played by Zhu Jianran), Jialin herself also participated in the competition for the boss of Shenglian. Junxuan seized the opportunity of the internal struggle of Shenglian to join Shenglian. In fact, this was a plan by Chief Inspector Zhang Ying (played by Wu Tingye) of the Narcotics Division. It turned out that Zhang Ying reconnected with Junxuan and let Junxuan sneak into Shenglian as an undercover agent, contacting and cooperating with colleague Su Qing (played by Liang Jingqi) to obtain intelligence and make meritorious contributions. Junxuan was excluded in Shenglian, especially his old lover Jia Lin, who had learned that Junxuan was involved in the murder of her father and turned against Junxuan. Junxuan suffered a great blow, but he stubbornly survived in Shenglian, repeatedly made meritorious contributions, and tried his best to explain to Jia Lin, and the relationship between the two eased a lot.
