Plot:
Palestinian refugee Mo Najjar straddles two cultures, three languages, and a whole lot of nonsense, while continually encountering obstacles on his path to U.S. citizenship. His family (including his resilient mother, sister, and brother) flees to Houston, Texas. Laughing his way out of his pain, Mo learns to adapt to his new world, despite the setbacks that come along the way to success. This heartwarming comedy is created and executive produced by comedians Mo Amir (The Vagabond, Black Adam) and Ramy Youssef (Ramy, Mr. Robot). The series is executive produced by A24’s Ravi Nandan and Haley Seikoff, Harris Darrow (Sparks, Daisy and the Band), Luv Lach (Dave, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and series director Solman Naim (Slick).
